Olivia Michael is a PhD student in the Microbiology and Immunology program. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.S. in Biology. After graduating, she joined the Ornelles lab at Wake Forest University School of Medicine where she obtained a thesis-based M.S. in biomedical Reseach. Olivia is interested in the innate immune response to dengue viral infections. When she’s not in the lab, Olivia enjoys spending time with her fiance and throwing tennis balls with her golden retriever George.
